Axial SCX10 III Rubicon TrickFlex Halos
MyTrickRC's Axial SCX10 III Rubicon TrickFlex Halo Headlights are ultra-bright and one of most noticeable mods you can make to your Axial SCX10 III Rubicon!
The ultra-bright TrickFlex LEDs on the Axial SCX10 III Rubicon Halo Headlights are carefully chosen for optimum brightness, performance, and durability. These Waterproof lights are a perfect Plug and Play fit to the Rubicon's Scale Grills. Instantly take your rig to the next level with MyTrickRC's Axial SCX10 III Rubicon TrickFlex Halo Headlights.
Smartly designed Axial SCX10 III Rubicon TrickFlex Halo Headlights can be used with any MyTrickRC Lighting Controller. While you can simply plug the Halos into any of our Standard Power Ports (White), to get Maximum Brightness we recommend powering them through a TrickFlex Regulator which is plugged into a High Power Port (Black) on a DG-1 Dragon, HB-2, or MC-4 Lighting Controller.
The included 3D Printed Light Buckets match your truck's Scale Grill for a drop-in replacement. The Light Buckets also include the ability to add a single High Power LED such as our Attack Headlights (sold separately) into the Center of the Halo Bucket. With our DG-1 Dragon Lighting Controller you can control the Center LEDs separately from the Halos, so you can enjoy the Halos, then add crazy bright Headlights when maximum light is needed.
OPTIONS TO POWER Axial SCX10 III Rubicon TrickFlex Halos
OPTION 1 Power From Receiver
If all you want are the Halos, and not a whole lighting system, MyTrickRC offers the ability to power your Axial SCX10 III Rubicon TrickFlex Halo Headlights directly from your Receiver. This Stand-Alone system is Plug and Play. The included adapter cable even acts as a Quick Disconnect - handy for when you need to separate the vehicle Body from the Chassis.
OPTION 2 Power From Controller
Power your Axial SCX10 III Rubicon TrickFlex Halo Headlights from a MyTrickRC Lighting Controller that has Black High Power Ports. The best options for your Rubicon are our DG-1 Dragon, HB-2, or MC-4. The DG-1 Dragon offers the most control and options, whereas the HB-2 is a basic Controller and only has manual On/Off control.
When powering Axial SCX10 III Rubicon TrickFlex Halo Headlights from a MyTrickRC DG-1 Dragon Controller, plug the TrickFlex 5V to 3V Regulator into one of the Black High Power Ports (A or B). Then, just like a Light Bar, you will have 3-Level Brightness Control - ideal for taking pictures. When out at night, crank them up to FULL BRIGHTNESS for an awesome explosion of light!
Want a color other than white?
While we only sell the Axial SCX10 III Rubicon TrickFlex Halo Headlights with White TrickFlex LEDs, we do offer TrickFlex LEDs in other colors. If you want a different color, please purchase any 70mm TrickFlex LED Pair (sold separately).
** CAUTION, DO NOT power the TrickFlex Halo LEDs off more than 3V or they will get damaged. They CANNOT be plugged into the Receiver directly. Use the included TrickFlex Regulator to make sure TrickFlex LEDs get the correct power.
Installing your TrickFlex Halo Headlights
Start with one of the TrickFlex LEDs and a Headlight Bucket Insert.

Carefully seat the TrickFlex into the Insert. Make sure to orient the strand properly since TrickFlex LEDs shine brighter on one side of the strand.

This is how it should look when properly seated.

You'll need to cut a small "mouse door" in your Grill for the feeding through the TrickFlex.

Next, we're ready to place the Halo assembly into the Grill.

This is how it should look when properly placed.

Now is a good time to test it out. Light her up!

Check out how sweet it looks buttoned back up with both the Halo and Center shining.
