3D Grill Installation

Start be cutting away the grill section of your Element RC Ecto body.

Note: Cut right on the edge of where the body dips down into the grill area. Be careful not to cutaway too much!

Next you will take your 3D printed grill and insert the 27mm strip LEDs from the rear. 

NOTE: Take your time and insert the LED's with care. 

Once installed from the rear of the grill, you can cover the LED strips with the included clean lenses. 

NOTE: Insert lenses with care being sure to note any flash or fitment issues with the 3D print. The lenses should fit snug, NOT TIGHT. 

You can now slide your assembled grill/light setup into the Ecto body. We recommend a silicone-based adhesive such as ZapGoo, e6000, ShoeGoo or equivalent. 

Rear LED Installation: 

To install the tail lights on your Ecto, you will need to first make some holes in the body where you would like to locate your LEDs. 

Note: Be sure not to make your holes too big, the LED holder will not work correctly. 

After you make your holes, insert the included LED holders into the body from the outside.

Once the holders are installed, you install the LED's from the inside of the body. 

Once installed, we again recommend a small amount of silicone-based adhesive on the back of the LED's to help hold them securely in place. 

3D Print Your Own Grill!

• The Element RC Ecto Light Kit  was designed to work with some of the downloadable 3d grill files below.  
• Be sure to print your grill in a material that can handle the heat the LEDs will generate. We recommend ABS or Carbon Nylon.   PLA/PLA+ prints will likely not handle the heat and will deform.

HB-2 Lighting Controller

Looking to add Attack High Power LEDs along with Standard Power 5mm & 3mm LEDs to your RC Car or Truck, but you do not need any responsive control features like Brake Lights or Turn Signals? Then MyTrickRC's HB-2 Lighting Controller is the answer!

The HB-2 Lighting Controller gives you a Simple, Easy, & Safe way to add various light configurations to your RC vehicle. HB-2 can power up to 12 High Power & 8 Standard LEDs with a max input of 2S.

The HB-2 Lighting Controller powers directly from your vehicle's battery via the included 2S Balance Port Power Cable and regulates that power to your LEDs. So you never need to worry about overpowering or damaging LEDs from miswiring. Actually, the HB-2 can be powered off any DC voltage from 6.5-9V DC. The electronics in the HB-2 are very rugged and meet MyTrickRC's strict Quality Requirements.

NOTES:

- To prevent over discharge of your LiPo battery, be sure to turn off the HB-2 right away if your vehicle's LiPo battery protect feature turns your vehicle off.

- If you prefer to power your HB-2 directly off your Receiver instead use the included Receiver/Servo Power Cable.

Flexible Options for Power Input

The HB-2 Lighting Controller gives you plenty of options for powering it. First, you can use the included Receiver Power Cable to power directly off your vehicle's Receiver or Servo. Or you can use the included 2S Balance Port Power Connector to power off a 2S Battery Balance Port. Alternatively you can add a 3S Balance Port Power Connector to power off a 3S Battery Balance Port. HB-2 will safely accept the voltage coming from any of these and regulate it to the appropriate levels. That way if, say, your Receiver is outputting 7.4V, it's not a problem - HB-2 will ensure your Attack Light Bars see only 5V on the High Power Ports and safely operate at their designed condition.

The Large Airplane Light Kit was born out of the local flyers around Southern California.  With their input, MyTrickRC developed a Light Kit for Larger Aircraft.  The Large Airplane Light Kit fits planes with a Wingspan up to 90″.  But if you have a larger wingspan than this, we also offer 8" and 12" LED Extenders*.  The Large Airplane Light Kit has now become our most popular Aircraft Light Kit.  Another Great Feature of this kit is that it has Quick Disconnects so it’s Simple to Disconnect the Wing from the Fuselage - that’s a MyTrickRC innovation.  Also, Remote Switched Landing Lights come standard.  (If you don’t want Remote Switching, just don’t connect that servo Cable, it’s that simple.)  This system is all Plug and Play, no soldering required!  The MyTrickRC way, Simple, Reliable, Scale – that’s what the Large Airplane Light Kit is all about. 

More about UF-7C Aircraft MODEs

Whether you use this Large Airplane Light Kit for your build or you build a Custom kit, the UF-7C is easy to expand and add more Lights to.  And whether you're building a Warbird, or Modern Aircraft, the UF-7C Lighting Controller is equally perfect for both.  When MyTrickRC upgraded the UF-7 to the UF-7C we extensively expanded Aircraft MODEs features and functions.  We also dedicated more programming memory on the UF-7C to Aircraft MODEs than any other RC Vehicle on the controller.  With MODEs like Warbird which offers Wig-Wag style Landing Lights and Gun LEDs, or Fighter Jet which has Switchable Landing Lights, After Burner**, and Gun LEDs on top of the standard Nav Lights and Strobes, you can make a Super Scale Airplane!  But even in our standard Aircraft Modes, not only did we add more Strobe Options to each MODE, we made it so you can easily add Downward Facing High Intensity Landing Lights (that are On/Off Switched with your Standard 5mm forward facing Landing Lights).  This way you'll be able to see the ground MUCH better as you're coming in for a landing.  Oh, our Attack High Power lights are super flat and can be glued right to the bottom of your wing!  This means mounting them is super easy, and with minimal impact to flight performance.  Simply plug them into the UF-7C's Pigtail, and you'll have lights***!  MyTrickRC is all about making your experience as awesome as possible, so we went all out to give you the most Comprehensive Controller possible for all your RC Airplane lighting needs.

Want to make night flying easier?  Add a pair of Attack Headlights to the bottom of your wings.  Their Low Profile design is flat and can be easily bonded to the underside of your Wings.  Their high intensity light will help you see the runway as you come in for a landing.  When connected to the Pigtail of your UF-7C, these High Intensity LEDs will cast a wide area of Light Downwards.  The Plug and Play solution to adding Attack Headlights to your UF-7C is to purchase one of our UF-7C Light Bar Regulators.  The UF-7C Light Bar Regulator will ensure your LEDs will receive correct power from the Receiver, and this makes the Headlights Plug and Play.  Attack Headlights  UF-7C Light Bar Regulator

Losi Promoto Motorcycle Light Kit

Amp up your Losi Promoto Motorcycle with MyTrickRC's Losi Promoto Motorcycle Light Kit! Notes

This Light Kit powers directly off the Receiver.

The Tail Light Pod includes a strong Adhesive Pad for installation. If you want added security adhering to the Rear Fender, adding some Zap Goo, Shoe Goo, or E-6000 around a couple edges works very well for these parts. These adhesives bond to both parts well.

**Be sure the Rear Fender is very clean before applying the Tail Light Pod. Clean the Promoto's Rear Fender with isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol). Clean the surface twice, allow the alcohol dry fully, then install the Tail Light Pod by pressing the adhesive pad on the Tail Light Pod firmly in place. It takes about 24hrs for the adhesive pad to fully bond to both parts. Use the Bike gently during these first 24hrs after installing the Tail Light Pod.

Installation

Remove the Left Side Panel.

Next, remove the black Motor Cover to expose the Receiver.

Now zip tie the SP4 Light Pods to the Handle Bars as shown. Be sure to pull the zip tie as tightly as you can. As an option, to reduce the possibility of the SP4 Light Pods slipping or rotating on the Handle Bars, you can add a tiny dab of Zap Goo, Shoe Goo, or E-6000 to bases of the Light Pods just before zip tying them into place.

Feed the SP4 Light Pods wire behind the Radiator as shown so that the wire comes out near the Receiver.

Next, connect the Light Kit's Power Supply to the Receiver's Aux 1 Channel.

Connect the SP4 Light Pods to the Power Supply and place as shown. Connect the SP4 Light Pods to either Black High Power Port on the Power Supply. You can use double stick tape, Zap Goo, Shoe Goo, or E-6000 to bond the Power Supply to the Bike.

Next feed the Tail Light Pod wire though the small hole in the metal plate on the side of the Bike as shown.

Connect the Tail Light Pod to the White Low Power Port on the Power Supply.

Apply the 3M double stick tape to the flange on the Tail Light Pod then press the Tail Light Pod firmly up into the Rear Fender.

**NOTES**

1. Clean the Fender with rubbing alcohol before sticking Tail Light Pod into place.

2. It's a little difficult to show in our pics, but locate the Tail Light Pod far enough inside the Fender so that the tire doesn't touch it (about 2/3 to 3/4 the way inside the Fender).

3. For added security, you can apply Zap Goo, Shoe Goo, or E-6000 to the Light Pod and Fender to ensure it does not come loose.

Your Losi Promoto Light Kit is now installed. Re-install the Motor Cover and Left Side Panel, and you are DONE! Now you can fall in love with your Promoto.

MC-4 Lighting Controller

MyTrickRC's new MC-4 Lighting Controller is a powerful little device that lets you power Attack Lighting as well as Standard Power LEDs directly off your vehicle's Receiver. MC-4 has two High Power Ports (Black) and two Low Power Ports (White).

The MC-4 has two High Power Ports (Black) and two Low Power Ports (White). Flexible Options for Power Input

Our tiny MC-4 Lighting Controller gives you plenty of options for powering it. First, you can use the included Receiver/Servo Power Cable to power directly off your vehicle’s Receiver or Servo. Or you can add one of our Balance Port Power Connectors to power off either a 2S or 3S Battery Balance Port. MC-4 will safely accept the voltage coming from any of these and regulate it to 5VDC. That way if, say, your Receiver is outputting 7.4V, it’s not a problem - MC-4 will ensure your Attack Light Bars see only 5V and safely operate at their designed condition.

Scale Grill Installation

Step one is to cut an opening in your vehicle Body for slipping in the Grill. The Grill has a slot on the top and sides for sliding into the Body.

Note: Cut right on the edge of where the body dips down into the Grill area. Use the Grill as a template and Be Careful not to cut away too much! The Grill is slotted so that it can slide into the cut body. Before cutting, use the Grill as a guide to confirm where to cut.

You can now slide your assembled Grill/light setup into your vehicle body.
