Pro Rock Lights

Our scale Pro Rock Lights have four intensely bright lamps (one for each corner) to light up the whole undercarriage of your rig, flooding the rocks with light so you can grab that perfect line. The pods are grouped onto a single plug so they only take up a single High Power Port without needing any splitter cables.

Mini Compact 4-Output Lighting Controller

At the heart of this Light Kit is our MC-4 Lighting Controller. This powerful yet compact device lets you safely power your Rock Lights from a variety of power sources, while having spare output Ports so you can add more lights whenever you’re ready to expand.

Expandable Options for Adding More LEDs

The MC-4 has two High Power Ports (Black) and two Low Power Ports (White). You’ll use one of the black High Power Ports for the Pro Rock Lights, leaving you with a whole other High Power Port plus both Low Power Ports for future expansion. Want to add a Light Bar or Headlights or Tail Lights? The MC-4 lets you do this.

MC-4 is a simple and safe way to add a Light Bar or Wafer Headlights to your rig. The compact size makes it easy to find a place to put it.

Flexible Options for Power Input

Our tiny MC-4 Lighting Controller gives you plenty of options for powering it. First, you can use the included Receiver/Servo Power Cable to power directly off your vehicle’s Receiver or Servo. Or you can add one of our Balance Port Power Connectors to power off either a 2S or 3S Battery Balance Port. MC-4 will safely accept the voltage coming from any of these and regulate it to 5VDC. That way if, say, your Receiver is outputting 7.4V, it’s not a problem - MC-4 will ensure your Attack Light Bars see only 5V and safely operate at their designed condition.

Installing your Light Kit

Before we can do anything, first we must remove the roof panel.

Zip tie the Tail Light Bar to the roll cage and run its wires across and down the B pillar as shown.

If you purchased an optional TrickWhip Light, screw it to the cage with a P-clip and feed its wire down as shown.

Zip tie the Rock Lights to the lower cage facing the rear wheels like this.

Next, remove the Hood Panel.

Zip tie the front Rock Lights to the frame and feed their wire down as shown.

Now unscrew the Grill from underneath.

Place our Custom Headlight Assembly into the Headlight Grill like so.

Being careful not to pinch any wires, re-attach the Headlight Grill, Hood, and Roof. Feed wires to the passenger side battery pocket side Panel.

Connect the lights to the HB-2 Lighting Controller.

NOTE - Run all LED wires to passenger side of vehicle. - Use 2-Way LED Splitter for Rock Lights, leaving one port on the HB-2 for other high power accessories, such as a future Light Bar, for example. Or you can add a TrickWhip Light by plugging it through a 5V to 3V Regulator.

Losi Promoto Motorcycle Light Kit

Amp up your Losi Promoto Motorcycle with MyTrickRC's Losi Promoto Motorcycle Light Kit! Notes

This Light Kit powers directly off the Receiver.

The Tail Light Pod includes a strong Adhesive Pad for installation. If you want added security adhering to the Rear Fender, adding some Zap Goo, Shoe Goo, or E-6000 around a couple edges works very well for these parts. These adhesives bond to both parts well.

**Be sure the Rear Fender is very clean before applying the Tail Light Pod. Clean the Promoto's Rear Fender with isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol). Clean the surface twice, allow the alcohol dry fully, then install the Tail Light Pod by pressing the adhesive pad on the Tail Light Pod firmly in place. It takes about 24hrs for the adhesive pad to fully bond to both parts. Use the Bike gently during these first 24hrs after installing the Tail Light Pod.

Installation

Remove the Left Side Panel.

Next, remove the black Motor Cover to expose the Receiver.

Now zip tie the SP4 Light Pods to the Handle Bars as shown. Be sure to pull the zip tie as tightly as you can. As an option, to reduce the possibility of the SP4 Light Pods slipping or rotating on the Handle Bars, you can add a tiny dab of Zap Goo, Shoe Goo, or E-6000 to bases of the Light Pods just before zip tying them into place.

Feed the SP4 Light Pods wire behind the Radiator as shown so that the wire comes out near the Receiver.

Next, connect the Light Kit's Power Supply to the Receiver's Aux 1 Channel.

Connect the SP4 Light Pods to the Power Supply and place as shown. Connect the SP4 Light Pods to either Black High Power Port on the Power Supply. You can use double stick tape, Zap Goo, Shoe Goo, or E-6000 to bond the Power Supply to the Bike.

Next feed the Tail Light Pod wire though the small hole in the metal plate on the side of the Bike as shown.

Connect the Tail Light Pod to the White Low Power Port on the Power Supply.

Apply the 3M double stick tape to the flange on the Tail Light Pod then press the Tail Light Pod firmly up into the Rear Fender.

**NOTES**

1. Clean the Fender with rubbing alcohol before sticking Tail Light Pod into place.

2. It's a little difficult to show in our pics, but locate the Tail Light Pod far enough inside the Fender so that the tire doesn't touch it (about 2/3 to 3/4 the way inside the Fender).

3. For added security, you can apply Zap Goo, Shoe Goo, or E-6000 to the Light Pod and Fender to ensure it does not come loose.

Your Losi Promoto Light Kit is now installed. Re-install the Motor Cover and Left Side Panel, and you are DONE! Now you can fall in love with your Promoto.

Scale Grill Installation

Step one is to cut an opening in your body for slipping in the Grill. The Grill has a slot on the top and sides for sliding into the body.

Note: Cut right on the edge of where the body dips down into the Grill area. Use the Grill as a template and Be Careful not to cut away too much! The Grill is slotted so that it can slide into the cut body. Before cutting, use the Grill as a guide to confirm where to cut.

You can now slide your Grill/Light assembly into your vehicle body. We recommend securing it with a silicone-based adhesive such as Zap Goo, E-6000, Shoe Goo or equivalent.

MyTrickRC's Traxxas Ultimate RC Hauler Kit is the perfect light kit upgrade for your Ultimate RC Hauler Tow Truck.   

This incredible kit uses MyTrickRC's new UF-7R Controller.  One of the coolest aspects of the Traxxas Ultimate RC Hauler Kit is the UF-7R's flexibility, allowing you to configure your light system different ways depending on how you want it!   

By slightly changing the way LEDs are connected, and selecting a different MODE, you can easily configure, or change up your settings.  Everything you need for all configurations is included in the kit.  

SETUP #1 - Functioning Turn Signals

If you want a scale setup with functioning Turn Signals the Traxxas Ultimate RC Hauler Kit can do that. Set the UF-7R to MODE 7 and connect LEDs as shown:

• Port A - Reverse
• Port B - Left Rear Tail/Brake/Turn (use 2-way cables)
• Port C - Right Rear Tail/Brake/Turn
• Port D - Front Right Turn
• Port E - Headlights
• Port F - Front Left Turn

*This configuration doesn't support On/Off Control of Flasher Bar. MyTrickRC has solution for this coming soon.

SETUP #2 - Staged Lighting Control

Or, if you prefer a setup for Rock Crawling that has Scale Brakes and Reverse, and the ability to power a Flasher Bar then you want setup #2. By connecting UF-7R's Input 2 to the transmission servo, you can use the transmission switch to toggle through staged lighting. Staged lighting starts with all Lights OFF. the first toggle turns on front running lights, Tail/Brake, and Reverse. The next level adds Headlights, and the last level turns our port G which you can use to power a Flasher Bar, and/or High Power LEDs like Rock Lights, or Utility Lights.  Set the UF-7R to MODE 3 and connect LEDs as shown: 

• Port A - Reverse
• Port B - Blinking (not used)
• Port C - Tail/Brake
• Port D - Front Running Lights
• Port E - Headlights
• Port F - Center Bake (not used)
• Port G - High Power Output (not used)

SETUP #3 - Remotely Controlled Strobes

For Emergency Use Setup with wig-way strobes, set the UF-7R to MODE 10 and connect LEDs as shown: 

• Port A - Wig-Wag Strobe (side A)
• Port B - Tail/Brake (use 2-way cables)
• Port C - Slow Strobe (not used)
• Port D - Wig-Wag Strobe (side B)
• Port E - Headlights
• Port F - Slow Strobe (not used)
• Port G - Flasher Bar (optional)

*This configuration does support On/Off Control of a Flasher Bar, along with the strobes.  Connect UF-7R's input 2 to the transmission channel on your receiver.  You will have Tail/Brake function and Strobes in the Front Running Lights and Reverse.  Tail/Brake will function normally.

Axial Early Bronco Light Kit!  This kit includes the NEW Attack Halogen High Power adjustable brightness Headlights, Front Marker Lights and Tail Lights. The kit is fully expandable, with the ability to add Rock Lights and more light bars.  

The Axial Early Bronco Light Kit has some great features including Adjustable Brightness on multiple ports Headlights, Light Bars and LEDs. This is great for power management, simply Plug and Play Installation, and it was built specifically to fit your truck.

Minor modifications to the body (Windshield) are required for installation.

NEW Improved Design Instructions:

STEP 1 - Remove Excess Support Material from Parts

STEP 2 - Insert LED into Rear Light Bar with LEDs facing outward as shown.  NEVER pull on LEDs, always push LED through hole.  The flexible part of the LED is somewhat fragile and can break if you twist them too much during installation.

STEP 3 - Gently bend the LED onto it's own wire as shown

STEP 4 - Apply Zap Goo, Shoe Goo, or E6000 to LED pockets of Light Bar

STEP 5 - Push wire into glue, then apply a second layer for the LED to bond to

STEP 6 - Apply a SMALL amount of glue to the top of the PCB.  BE CAREFUL not to get glue on the LEDs.  If you do, then wipe it off before installing the lenses.  Only a SMALL amount of glue is needed here

STEP 7 - Press in the Lenses.  Tail Lights are DONE!

STEP 8 - Apply Zap Goo, Shoe Goo, or E6000 to LED to the Headlight Bracket as shown

STEP 8 - Place the LED as shown, with the flexible end hanging off the part.  We recomend that you apply a small amount of tape to hold the LED in position before doing the other side.

STEP 9 - Once LED glue is fully set, wrap the wire around the Bracket.  Be sure to hook the wires into the small C clip on the Bracket.  Apply a more generous amount of glue here to both the C Clip area, and the flexible part of the LED to provide it good support after drying.  You are DONE installing the LEDs!

3D Grill Installation

Start be cutting away the grill section of your Element RC Ecto body.

Note: Cut right on the edge of where the body dips down into the grill area. Be careful not to cutaway too much!

Next you will take your 3D printed grill and insert the 27mm strip LEDs from the rear. 

NOTE: Take your time and insert the LED's with care. 

Once installed from the rear of the grill, you can cover the LED strips with the included clean lenses. 

NOTE: Insert lenses with care being sure to note any flash or fitment issues with the 3D print. The lenses should fit snug, NOT TIGHT. 

You can now slide your assembled grill/light setup into the Ecto body. We recommend a silicone-based adhesive such as ZapGoo, e6000, ShoeGoo or equivalent. 

Rear LED Installation: 

To install the tail lights on your Ecto, you will need to first make some holes in the body where you would like to locate your LEDs. 

Note: Be sure not to make your holes too big, the LED holder will not work correctly. 

After you make your holes, insert the included LED holders into the body from the outside.

Once the holders are installed, you install the LED's from the inside of the body. 

Once installed, we again recommend a small amount of silicone-based adhesive on the back of the LED's to help hold them securely in place. 

3D Print Your Own Grill!

• The Element RC Ecto Light Kit  was designed to work with some of the downloadable 3d grill files below.  
• Be sure to print your grill in a material that can handle the heat the LEDs will generate. We recommend ABS or Carbon Nylon.   PLA/PLA+ prints will likely not handle the heat and will deform.

Then you 3D Print them yourself. Or if you don't have a 3D printer, you can use a 3D Printing Service. Whichever way you go, the Pro-Line Metric Light Kit will bring great lighting to you vehicle.

Freedom To Expand

Since the Pro-Line Metric Light Kit uses the UF-7R Lighting Controller you have some other great Upgrade Options available to you. Want to add a scale functioning Center Brake Light, Light Bar, or Rock Lights? These upgrades are easy with the UF-7R. You can add any single Attack Light Bar or up to 3 pairs of Spot Lights to the UF-7R's Pig Tail Output*.
